THE MEANING BEHIND THE MISSION

We are grateful for the warm welcome from the wonderful hometown of Athens, Alabama. There is something special about gathering in a community that values its people, honors its heritage, and continues to make room for faith, family, and purpose. It feels especially fitting to bring Soldier For Christ to a city with such a strong spirit of community, unity and service.
We are also honored to gather at the Alabama Veterans Museum, a place that reminds us of the courage and sacrifice of those who have served—and of what it means to stand for something greater than ourselves.

The name Soldier for Christ began with a word from God.
Around 2013, during a desperate time of prayer for the nations, Terita St. Julian, our Executive Producer, heard these words deep in her heart:
“Be a soldier. Be a soldier. Be a soldier.”

She didn’t fully understand what it meant, but when she searched those words, the phrase that appeared was: “Soldier for Christ.”

Years later, as the Amazing Grace team searched for a place to host this event, a leader within the city recommended they contact the Director of the Alabama Veterans Museum. It wasn't until weeks later that Terita realized the connection between the museum and the word she'd received from the Lord. She was overwhelmed by the faithfulness and power of God.

We believe this event stands for a powerful reminder that there is a battle happening—and that we are called to stand firm, serve faithfully, and put our faith into action.
What began as a word in prayer has become a call for this moment:
Be a Soldier. Join the Mission.
